Our Airline Ticket Protection*** protects you against the risk of airline insolvency or inability to pay. Our ’Flight Only’ customers now have cover for claims arising from airline insolvency or inability to pay***. It is assured that: if financial difficulties should prevent the plane from flying, then the fare is completely or partially refunded.
Your benefit:
1. If the person stated by name in the ticket has not yet commenced on the flight booked through us ( Vitaball Ltd. ) at the time of the airline becoming unable to pay/becoming insolvent, then this person or the person who ordered the ticket shall be refunded the amount that was completely or partially paid for the ticket by the person named in the ticket or the person who ordered it.
2. If on inability to pay/insolvency of the airline, the person named in the ticket has already commenced on the flight booked through us ( Vitaball Ltd. ) at the time the inability to pay/insolvency of the airline arises, then the person named in the ticket shall have the choice of reimbursement of:
a) the proportion of the ticket price equivalent to the particular flight services cancelled on account of the inability to pay/insolvency of the airline/, or
b) the cost of the newly booked flight. The standard booked originally is taken into consideration for reimbursement of costs.
The person named in the ticket shall exercise his/her right of choice according to a) or b) bindingly with assertion of the claim.
3. The respective refund resulting from clause 1 or 2 shall be reduced by the particular amount refunded by the airline or the latter’s authorised debt collection agency or clearing house.
4. Details, particularly with regard to responsibilities in case of inability to pay/insolvency of the airline, start and end of the ticket insurance term, obligations relating to loss mitigation, deadline periods for filing a suit etc. are included on the insurance policy issued in the name of the person named in the ticket. This is provided free of charge to all ’Flight Only’ customers booking through us ( Vitaball Ltd. ).
*** The Airline Ticket Protection is valid exclusively for ‘Flight Only’ bookings made through us ( Vitaball Ltd. ) with airlines named in the list. Bookings made with other airlines are not covered.
